In 1952, a professional wrestling and boxing promoter named Jess McMahon and his friend, Toots Mondt, founded the Capitol Wrestling Corporation. Two years later, McMahon passed away, and the business was inherited by his son. Since those humble beginnings, many changes have happened. Today, the professional wrestling promotion company now known as World Wrestling Entertainment is the largest in the world. They have even ventured into other realms such as American football. It was the ambition of Vincent K. McMahon, Jess’s grandson, that has made the company what it is today.
