Watch the WTA Finals Live Online

WTA FinalsThe Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Finals is a prestigious tennis tournament held every year, usually in different venues. Since 2014, the tournament has been played in Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium located in Kallang, Singapore. That all changes in 2019 as the event will be held at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Shenzhen, China. The matches are held for 8 single players, and 4 doubles teams.  This year, the matches will begin on the 27th of October and run until the 3rd of November. Because this tournament is considered to be the biggest tournament after the Grand Slams, there are multiple channels covering the Finals. However, if you want to view coverage on a specific channel, you may need a VPN to watch the WTA Finals depending where you are located.

Now that Serena Williams is back and seemingly well rested, it will be interesting to see if she participates and how far she will get. To do that, she will definitely have to battle the 2017 Champion, Caroline Wozniacki. Williams is such a powerhouse that not even a pregnancy can stop her dominance of Women’s tennis. She is a very intense player and shows no signs of slowing down.

In fact, she has been such a force in the sport, that it is hard to imagine watching women’s tennis without seeing Serena Williams. Since she went pro in 1995, we have watched this young lady grow up and completely dominate the sport. Anyone that assumed her wins were a fluke, has not been paying attention. She now plays against competitors that were born the same year or after she came on to the scene.

It is wonderful to see Serena Williams return to the tennis world. In this tournament, Serena has her first chance to get her first win since 2014. If she does manage to win, she will be one step closer to the all-time finals winner, Martina Navratilova. Williams is currently tied with Steffi Graf for the number of finals victories. Let’s hope we will see the definite style of Serena Williams, as she takes on other well-known names like Simona Halep, Caroline Wozniacki, and even her own sister, Venus Williams.

As we mentioned, television coverage for this tournament will be relatively extensive. If you are in the US, there are two different channels that are broadcasting the Finals, at least in part. They are CBS and ESPN. To watch CBS online, you would need to have a CBS All Access account. ESPN is also a premium channel that would require a login to a cable or satellite provider, or Sling TV. If you are in the UK, you have a better option. BBC will apparently be broadcasting the event live for free, providing you are in the UK. If you are not in the UK currently, or you do not have access to a cable or satellite subscription, you can use a VPN to gain access.

Enjoy all the excitement during this wonderful tournament. Watch to see if Serena will play, and if she will surpass Steffi Graf’s victories, or if she will just concentrate on next year.
