The United States Grand Prix is the fourth to last race of the Formula 1 season. This year, this popular race will be run on October 21st, 2018 at 13:10 CST (20:10 GMT). As is the case since 2012, this race will be run at the circuit of the Americas, located in Austin, Texas. Though this course has only been used since then, the first United States Grand Prix was run in 1908. In the US, race coverage will be on ESPN2 at 13:00 CST. You can login to the network by using your cable or satellite login. If you are outside the US or do not have a cable or satellite subscription, you could enjoy this race from anywhere with a VPN.
The Circuit of the Americas (COTA) located in Austin, Texas, was opened in 2012. Of course, it has the modern conveniences that many race fans want and love. In 2010, the famous course designer, Hermann Tilke, designed the Circuit of the Americas as well. Promoters said it would be one of the most challenging and spectacular in the world.
Not surprisingly, Lewis Hamilton is the defending champion of the United States Grand Prix. Though he had a bit of a rough start this year, Hamilton is a very skilled driver. Despite only winning one race, Hamilton managed to overtake his competitor Sebastian Vettel by the fourth race. Vettel won the first 2 races. It will be definitely interesting to see how the season goes.
Hamilton carries on a long tradition of British race car drivers. They have been a force in the racing community for quite some time. In fact, they are one of the only groups to get a shade of a color named in their honor (British Racing Green). Now, Hamilton is the torchbearer in the Formula 1 world.
