How to Unblock ScrewAttack with a VPN

ScrewAttackScrewAttack is a very popular YouTube channel. They have very popular videos like the Goku VS Superman Death Battle, Five More Fun Facts – Pokemon, and One Minute Melee – Scorpion VS Ghost Rider.  While watching ScrewAttack videos you might experience lag, slow connections, or even geographically blocked videos. To fix these problems I would recommend a VPN. A VPN will allow you to change your IP address to another location. If you pick an IP in a place where there is better connection you will be able to increase connections speed and reduce lag. If you choose IP where the video that you want to watch is available you can get past any geographical restrictions.

ScrewAttack has over 2,500,000 subscribers and this is because of there videos. They have four main video types on the channel. These four include Five Fun Facts, Reasons We Love/Hate, and Top Tens, and Death Battle. They also have other theory type videos, best games, and live stream gaming.

Five Fun Facts is a video series that as the name implies has five facts. The series has all kinds of videos like Five Fun Facts of Pokemon and Five fun Facts of South Park. It is on most of the time on Tuesdays every week in the USA. In other countries the day may very.

Reasons we Love/Hate is another series. The special thing about this series is that Evil Craig does all the hate videos. The love videos are done by other members of the ScrewAttack crew. These videos give all the reasons that they hate and love the games they do. It is on most of the time on Thursday in the USA. Pf course the timing of the video releases will vary based on your location.

Top Tens is a series that ScrewAttack lists their top 20, 10, or 5 things on different subjects. Most of the videos are top 10s and they are good. They have over 100 of these videos and they try to post them weekly. The series is mostly put out on Fridays in the USA.

Death Battle is a series that is hosted by Wiz and Boom Stick. This series has the two looking at competitor skills, attacks, and defense to see who would win. While they are analyzing they will explain who the characters and what they are good at. At the end of this they will have a video of the two characters fighting to the death. After the battle they will explain why the winner won. This series is on Wednesdays in the USA, but will occasionally have breaks.

Based off of Death Battle there are two other series that are made by ScrewAttack. These two series are One Minute Melees and The Desk of Death Battle. The second one gives you interesting facts about Death Battle participants that the ScrewAttack team found out while making the Death Battle videos. This series is normally on Sundays in the USA. There could be a difference in timing based on the region you are currently in. The first series is the exact same as Death Battle except there is no data given. This series has no set date and can come out at any time.

ScrewAttack is a very popular YouTube Channel. They have all kinds of video game, comic book, and anime related videos.  The main series are Five Fun Facts, Reasons we Love/Hate, Top Tens, and Death Battle. Overall the ScrewAttack is a very entertaining YouTube channel that I’m sure you and your friends will enjoy watching and subscribing to.

Once again I would like to recommend a VPN to watch ScrewAttack. A VPN will allow you to switch your IP to any other location you choose. If you choose an IP close to an area with good connection then you could have less lag and better connection. If you pick an IP in an area where the video you want to watch is located then you can get past the geographical restriction.

How to Use a VPN to Unblock ScrewAttack

I’ll use IPVanish for the example of how to use a VPN service to watch ScrewAttack on YouTube.  First you’ll want to download the VPN client.  IPVanish offers free client software for Windows, Mac and Linux.  In addition to free apps for iOS and Android.

Now that you’ve had a chance to download and install the software it’s time to connect.  Launch the IPVanish client and select a server location.  We’ll walk you through step by step using their Windows client.

IPVanish Windows client v2.0

  • Select a server location.  We chose Atlanta but IPVanish has a large network of servers located around the world.
  • We recommend you select OpenVPN (TCP) or (UDP).  For streaming videos from sites like YouTube we use OpenVPN (UDP).  They also support PPTP and L2TP.  We still recommend OpenVPN for the best privacy protection.
  • Click connect.  After a few seconds you’ll see the button at the top change to green and show “Disconnect”.  You’ll also notice the server location and IP address show up at the top of the client.
  • We’re now located in the U.S. as far as anyone can tell online.  As such we can reach any site as if sitting in Atlanta.  The same would be true if we connected to a server in the UK or anywhere else in the world.

That’s all there is to it.  Now that you have an IP address from the IPVanish server in the United States you can browse the Internet and play online games as if you were actually there.  The same is true from any country.  Connect to a server in the United Kingdom to watch BBC iPlayer or another country to watch Netflix content in that region.

As you can probably tell by now a good VPN opens access to content around the world. If you live outside the United States the service can help you access popular services like Netflix, Hulu and Pandora. You still need an account for services like Netflix but the VPN will help you watch US television shows and movies on Netflix as if you were sitting in the United States or any other region you would like to access.

How to Unblock YouTube (Xbox One, Wii U, and PS4)

Once again I’ll use IPVanish for the example of how to use a VPN service to watch ScrewAttack on YouTube.  They are my favorite VPN for gaming because IPVanish manages their own network which makes the service faster and more reliable than most providers.  You can also view our Top 10 VPN list for more options.

The first step to getting set up with IPVanish is normally to download the client software for your system.  IPVanish offers free client software for Windows, Mac and Linux.  In addition to free apps for iOS and Android.  Obviously that won’t work for PS4, Wii U, or Xbox One since the game consoles lack the native support for VPN.  Luckily, there is still a way to encrypt your gaming traffic and send it through a VPN.  The answer is running the VPN through your router.

FlashRouters VPN Setup

Depending on what brand and model of router you use, it might support third party VPN services.  If so you can get the necessary information from your VPN provider to set up a PPTP or L2TP connection through your router.  Otherwise I highly recommend FlashRouters.  The FlashRouters team takes popular, brand name routers and flashes them with DD-WRT or Tomato firmware.  That allows the devices to have far more features than they would with the factory firmware installed.  All FlashRouters come pre-configured with support for VPN.

Enjoy all the excitement as you watch ScrewAttack on YouTube.  Please share this post with your friends so they can enjoy YouTube from anywhere in the world with a VPN.  Follow us @VPNFan for the latest deals and guides.
