The Puppy Bowl is a football game for puppies where they try to play a matchup. The “game” is always “played” on the same day as the Super Bowl. This year, Puppy Bowl XIV will take place on February 7th at 2 PM ET on Animal Planet and will feature Team Ruff and Team Fluff. If you live in the US, have access to cable, and want to enjoy it, you can do so by tuning into Animal Planet on Super Bowl sunday. If you will be outside of the US doing the event, you will want to connect to a VPN server in the states to watch the matchup and see who wins the Lombarky Trophy.
Unless you live under a rock, you probably know that a good portion of the US population will be tuning in to watch the Super Bowl. In 2004, the Animal Planet team decided to have a little fun and give animal lovers their own bowl game. Though it is shown on the same day, it is early enough so it does not interfere with the big game. It is said that they have a sideline “repawter” and the game is officiated by a “rufferee”. What started out as a novelty has become a bit of a big deal on the network.
There are several features that make watching this event fun. The first one is the VR feature. You can a puppy’s eye view of the PBTC (Puppy Bowl Training Camp) in full 360 video. The day before at 8 PM, they will also have a “Dog Bowl” that highlights older dogs in need of homes. The two teams you will see playing are the Ruff team (wearing green bandanas) and the Fluff team (wearing yellow bandanas). It is hard to resist all the cuteness of the puppies you will see in the show. Of course, you will not want to miss out on Jokgu, the piano-playing chicken responsible for playing the Star Spangled Banner before kickoff.
If you are interested in seeing what all the press is about, you will need to have access to the Animal Planet. Of course, the puppies are adorable and there is no telling what sort of funny things you will see. It is designed to be entertaining and give the viewer something to enjoy before the big game. It is definitely something you may want to take a look at. If you will not be in the US at the time of the Puppy Bowl, you will need to use a VPN.
Enjoy all the excitement of the 2021 Puppy Bowl. Please share this post with your friends so they can enjoy this game from anywhere in the world with a VPN. Follow us @VPNFan for the latest deals and guides.
