The 2016 PGA Players Championship will take place at TPC Sawgrass in
Since 1982, the PGA Players Championship has been played at the TPC Sawgrass Golf Course. Though it is not recognized as an official tournament, the tournament is considered to be the 5th major because of the prestige it caries. Winners receive the most money of any tournament, and 80 points towards their world ranking. In 2015, the prize money was almost 2 million dollars.
Best VPN for Streaming the PGA Players Championship
This year promises to be interesting for some of the top players in the game. The Masters tournament that was recently played showed some surprise in winners and losers. With golf, all players are entitled to bad tournaments from time to time. That was certainly the case with some of the favorites to win the tournament. Jordan Spieth performed better in the first couple of rounds, but he fizzled out to finish the tournament three strokes behind the leader. That said, he did finish still tied for second, but the difference cost the Masters Defending Champion at least 1 million dollars. Other dominant players like McIlroy and Fowler did not finish in the top ten.
It will be interesting to see what players come out on top in this tournament, given the most recent results. Will Fowler be able to repeat the success he had last year at TPC Sawgrass? Will Spieth or Mcilroy make a play? Or will the winner of the Masters Tournament, Danny Willett continue on his role? Indeed, many questions need to be asked in the sport of Golf at the moment.
If you are planning on watching this championship tournament, and you live in the United States, you can view the matches on Golf network and NBC. Unless of course you wanted to use one for privacy reasons. However, if you plan to be traveling outside the USA or live abroad, then a VPN can help you watch the tournament from anywhere in the world. We will explain to you how this works. What you would do is connect to a VPN server in the United States and get assigned a US IP address. From there, you may enjoy content, just as if you were located in the USA. The same is true for sites like Pandora and Hulu.
I don’t want to confuse anyone. There are still broadcasts including NBC that will require a cable or satellite log in. For those with a subscription you can simply connect to a VPN in the US and fire up NBCSN to watch the tournament. Otherwise I suggest you connect to a US VPN server and stream the PGA Players Championship live from the pgatour.com website. They will be live streaming all four rounds of the tournament.
