NASCAR has had a long history in the United States. Founded in 1948 officially, the league was an extension of the modified cars that appeared in the US during the 1930s. From those early years, the technology of cars has improved by a great deal. That is due in part to what the race teams in NASCAR over the years have learned.

From CASCAR to NASCAR Pinty’s Series

Prior to being bought by NASCAR in 2007, CASCAR entered into a multi-year contract with its southern cousin in 2004. Despite looking like a clone, CASCAR is not new. It was originally started in 1981 by founder and CEO Anthony Novotny. Though it is similar, the rules of CASCAR were slightly different.

In CASCAR, fiberglass bodies were used to cover custom tube frames. Another difference came from the car’s shape. Though NASCAR has strict rules requiring the cars to have as much parity to the approved models as possible, CASCAR’s rules were more relaxed. By buying CASCAR, the Craftsman Truck Series, Busch Series, and Sprint Series races may now be held at racetracks in Canada.

The Nascar Canadian Tire Series will begin at Sunset Speedway on May 14th and conclude at Virtual Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Nov. 22nd. The series will include fourteen races. You can expect the season to heat up with the summer temperatures as new and existing rivalries carry from race to race. You can bet this year’s rookies will be looking to make their mark this season.

As the popularity of stock car racing continues to build in Canada, the deal with NASCAR is sure to open many new doors. The quality and safety of both programs will improve, because of the shared technology. It is also possible that the two programs will become more integrated over time. Through the years, every major sport in the US has had different leagues. Some of them started out as rivals to the current group. It would be interesting to see a possible race off between NASCAR and NASCAR Canada. Getting back to this year’s season, let’s take a look at the Nascar Canada race schedule:

We are doing our best to confirm that TSN will carry the Nascar Pinty’s Series races.  Last year TSN broadcast every race along with RDS for both English and French coverage. We’re hopeful the same will be true this season. You will need a TSN cable subscription account to stream the races. Canadians who travel outside the country will still need a VPN since broadcasters block access based on the location of your IP address.

Catch all the action by watching the TSN coverage of the Nascar Pinty’s Series races. Please share this post with your friends so they can enjoy the races as well. Follow us @VPNFan for the latest VPN reviews and promotions from leading providers.
