Watch MotoGP Live Online

MotoGPMotoGP is a series of 19 motorcycle races that take place in many countries across the world. In 2019, the season takes place between March 10 and November 17. Much like other motorsports, this sport goes on an accumulated points system, so there is pressure to do well, but it is not necessary to win every race. With the growing popularity of the sport, it should come as no surprise there is quite a bit of TV coverage. However, to watch all of the races live online, you would need to use a VPN.

How to Use a VPN to Watch MotoGP Races

I’ll use ExpressVPN for the example of how to use a VPN service to watch MotoGP races. First you’ll want to download the VPN client. ExpressVPN offers free client software for Windows, Mac and Linux. In addition to free apps for iOS and Android.

Now that you’ve had a chance to download and install the software it’s time to connect. Launch the ExpressVPN client and select a server location. We’ll walk you through step by step using their Windows client.

ExpressVPN Australia servers

  • Select a server location. For free 10 Bold race coverage, you must use a VPN server in Australia. As we mentioned, that is because you would be geo-blocked outside of the region. Because of that, you can see we chose a server in London.
  • We recommend you select OpenVPN (TCP) or (UDP). For streaming videos from sites like YouTube, we use OpenVPN (UDP) because its faster than TCP. They also support PPTP, L2TP, and SSTP. We still recommend OpenVPN UDP for the best mix of speed and privacy protection.
  • Click the big round connect button. After a few seconds, you’ll see the shield around the button turn green. There will also be a message letting you know the “VPN is ON”
  • You now have an IP address in the UK, as far as anyone can tell online. As such, you can reach any site as if you were sitting there. The same would be true if you connected to a server in a different region.

And it is just that simple to do. Watching the race on 10 Bold is easy, using this method. If you have a subscription, you can also connect to a VPN server in the United States and access BeIN Sports to watch coverage of the 2019 MotoGP races all season.

MotoGP at a Glance

MotoGP is an interesting sport. As you could imagine, it can also be highly dangerous. Timing and precision are an absolute must when racing motorcycles. The field of competitors involves 30 different teams, and 7 different motorcycle manufacturers. With the fastest ever recorded speed in MotoGP set at 351 km/h (218 mph), one wrong move can end in disaster. Surprisingly though, the bikes are set up well, so major accidents are not common. Even on a wet course, the bikes handle with precision. At a cost of 2 million dollars per bike, you would expect that sort of performance.

Though some may think that MotoGP is recent, the first championship was held in 1949. That was just a year after NASCAR started. Since then, many improvements have been implemented to bikes, safety equipment, and regulations. Though some of these changes were to make the bikes faster, others were designed to make them safer. Those improvements have prevented many deaths and lessened damage to the riders. There are remarkably very few deaths that occur in the MotoGP sport.

MotoGP is divided into 3 classes, based on motorcycle engine size. Those classes are Moto3 where engines must be 250 cc, Moto2 where the engines are 600 cc, and MotoGP where bikes are 1000 cc. All three groups race in back to back races, usually beginning with the smallest first. Racers can go back and forth between classes, but they can not race in more than one group at a time.

As we mentioned, the races are run all over the world. Here’s a look at the MotoGP schedule.
