Organizers of the first French Grand Prix held the event in 1906. Despite the fact it is one of the oldest in the world, the last one was held in 2008. However, the Circuit Paul Ricard announced in 2016 that the French Grand Prix would be on the schedule again in the 2018 season. The Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours hosted the race for the 2008 event. However, the Circuit Paul Ricard hosts the 2021 version.
Opened in 1970, this course is a crowd favorite. That is partially because of the many different types of races held there. Those include motorcycle, Semi trucks, Afterwork racing (with normal cars), FRC (Fun Racing Cars), and more. That is why many fans of the circuit are glad to see the historic race return.
This course has a length of 3.63 miles and that includes 15 turns. It can seat over 90,000 spectators and has many modern conveniences you might now expect. It also has some important safety features that add to the circuit’s greatness. If you can see this race live, we suggest doing so.
