If you are a Mac OSX or iOS user, you are well familiar with the default browser, Safari. However, not everyone likes to use it. Unfortunately, some websites do not work Safari. Instead of keeping it, some users would rather delete it altogether. That said, it is not as easy to delete as you might hope. Because it is what is considered to be a native application. That means you have to take additional steps.
Why Is It Difficult to Delete Safari?
As we mentioned, Safari is a native app. That means it is controlled and protected by the System Integration Protection feature. What that does is stop the user frm accidently deleting any native application which could change the functions of the operating system. In additon to Safari, you also can not delete Facetime, Calculator, the “home” feature, or the Calender. Even though can delete it from Mac OS with some work, it is a bit trickeir with iOS. We can help you with both, though.
How to Delete Safari on Mac OSX
There are a few different ways you can do about doing this. You can either disable the System Integrity Protection feature and delete it that way, or you can use a 3rd party app that will allow you to do that. If you decide to disable the SIP feature, keep in mind that could change the functionality of the operating system. Therefore, you will want to use a 3rd party cleaner. Once you install one, follow the steps and remove it.
