VPNs are wonderful tools that can help you protect yourself. They are also good and helping you get around firewalls and geo-restrictions. You can find those at the workplace, a school, organization, or government. Geo-restrictions typically target a certain area and if you are outside of that area, you would be blocked from access. While VPNs are great tools, there are some countries that are not as friendly to the idea of them. Mainly, that comes from a desire to oppress the population of a country and block access to certain information. Sadly, there are a few countries that ban them. That means if you try to connect to one and you are caught, you could face some sort of penalty. Given the countries involved, it is wiser just to do without.
