The CAF Champions League is an international football tournament held on the African continent, and all 56 teams are eligible to enter. The winner of this championship will gain a berth in the FIFA Club World Cup, as well as the the following season’s CAF Super Cup. Unlike normal football associations, the Confederation of African Football uses a running 5 year total of CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup totals, with the two highest associations able to enter in 2 different teams. That means in theory, up to 69 teams would be able to enter to the tournament, but that goal has never been achieved.
