The Breeders’ Cup is one of the newer but well-known horse races in the field. The track used varies every year. With everything going on in the world, it is nice to see that we can still enjoy some things. This year, the 2020 version will take place at the Keeneland Association Track in Lexington, Kentucky, and held on November 6th and 7th. Coverage for this two-day event will be shown on NBCSN. To watch, you need to have a cable subscription and be located in the US. If you are traveling abroad, you can watch from anywhere with a VPN.

Founded in 1984, the Breeders’ Cup is a Grade 1 thoroughbred race. Attendance for the race usually sells out, but can vary based on the track it’s held at. It trails in popularity only to the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Kentucky Oaks. There are twelve different tracks the racing event has been held at, with Churchill Downs holding it the most.
This years’ race will be great. Though it is not very old, it is part of the newly formed Grand Slam. That means if a horse wins the elusive Triple Crown plus this race, they become Grand Slam winners. The only horse to win all 4 major races was American Pharoah in 2015. If you are a race fan, you already know that Bob Baffert is a horse trainer extraordinaire. That is why it will be interesting to see how his most recent horses will do. He trained three horses in this year’s Breeders’ Cup.
Like many sports these days, there are other events that lead up to the final “Classic” race on Saturday. Coverage for the Breeders’ Cup will be shown on NBC Sports, but you can watch all of the online action through the NBC Sports Live Extra site. If you plan to be outside the US for the race, we would suggest using a VPN. Otherwise, you will be blocked from streaming access based on the location of your IP address. A VPN will help you by assigning an IP address in the United States. Then, simply login to your account and you will be able to enjoy it. We suggest you get everything set up before any traveling. That will help ensure a seemless experience.
