When the field ran this race last year, Lewis Hamilton took the checkered flag to beat out his teammate, Valtteri Bottas. Once again, the defending champion will have to battle his Mercedes teamate. Four of the top competitors to look for in this race are Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, Max Verstappen, and Sebastian Vettel. There are others, but there is a good chance one of them will win.

The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg racing circuit opened on May 29th, 1932. It has a length of 2.842 miles (4.574 km). There are 17 turns, and a Finnish driver named Kimi Räikkönen (known as the Iceman) set the lap record of 1:13.780 in 2004. His average lap speed was a staggering 138.67 MPH (223.2 KPH).
