History of the Austrian Grand Prix

The Austrian Grand Prix is back for another year on a track that has been renamed the Red Bull ring. Since 1970, this track has undergone some revisions, not just in name but in design. After 17 years, the race disappeared from the roster, but finally returned in 1997 and was renamed the A1 after some refurbishing and modernization. In 2003, the track closed again, and the race finally returned in 2014 when Red Bull purchased the venue. This race is sure to be exciting. The returning champion, Max Verstappen is definitely bringing his driving skills forward this racing season. However, he still has to compete with the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, and Sebastian Vettel. He will have to work hard this year if he wants to win the championship.

Coverage for this race begins @ 9:10 am EST on ESPN. For UK coverage, the options are Sky Sports and Channel 4. Whereas seeing this event online may require a premium cable or satellite subscription, if you are traveling outside the region, you would need to have a good VPN service, because these channels may be geo-blocked. The VPN will allow you to catch every minute of this exciting race, and find out if Max Verstappen can defend his title this year.
