The ICC Champions Trophy is a relatively new tournament. The first one was held in 1998. Since 2009, the tournament only takes the top 8 One Day International (ODI) teams. For those unaware, the ODI style is a form of limited overs cricket. It is played between two teams with international status and each team faces a fixed number of overs. Though the number can fluctuate, it is usually 50.

This style is a fairly new development, with the first ODI game to be played in 1971. The uniforms were all white, and a red ball was used. That same decade, other changes were made to the game that are commonplace now. Those include colored uniforms, night games with a white ball and dark sight screens, and other innovations.

If you are a fan of the ODI style of cricket, and you are in the UK, you are welcome to try to for tickets to a match. For the rest of us, we have to rely on one of the methods we spoke about earlier.
